Μετάθεση της μεταγραφικής περιόδου σε όλα τα πρωταθλήματα εκτός της Α1 ανδρών

Μετά από τις επαφές που είχε η ΚΕΠ/ΕΟΠΕ με όλα τα σωματεία των Εθνικών κατηγοριών, στα πλαίσια της οργάνωσης των πρωταθλημάτων για την αγωνιστική περίοδο 2010-11, υπήρξε από πολλά σωματεία της Α2 Ανδρών αίτημα, λόγω της οικονομικής κατάστασης που αντιμετωπίζουν καθώς και της αβεβαιότητας ως προς τη συνέχιση της επιχορήγησης, για μετάθεση της περιόδου των μεταγραφών ώστε να έχει αποσαφηνιστεί το καθεστώς που θα ισχύσει.
Το αίτημα εξετάστηκε στο Διοικητικό Συμβούλιο τις 17ης Ιουνίου και αποφασίστηκε η μετάθεση της μεταγραφικής περιόδου για όλα τα πρωταθλήματα εκτός της Α1 Ανδρών, για την οποία αρμόδια να αποφασίσει είναι η ΕΣΑΠ, από Δευτέρα 9 Αυγούστου έως την Παρασκευή 10 Σεπτεμβρίου.
Ας σημειωθεί ότι η ανανέωση των δελτίων των αθλητών-αθλητριών αγωνιστικής περιόδου 2010-11 παραμένει ως έχει, δηλαδή εντός του χρονικού διαστήματος από 21 Ιουνίου έως 25 Ιουνίου.

ΕΘΝΙΚΗ ΓΥΝΑΙΚΩΝ: Η 12άδα που θα ταξιδέψει στη Μαδρίτη

Για τη Μαδρίτη αναχωρεί το πρωί της Παρασκευής (09.15) η Εθνική ομάδα των Γυναικών, όπου θα αντιμετωπίσει την Ισπανία για τον Β’ όμιλο του Ευρωπαϊκού Λιγκ.

Ο ομοσπονδιακός τεχνικός Τζιοβάνι Καπράρα έκανε δύο αλλαγές σε σχέση με την 12άδα της Πάτρας, επιλέγοντας τις Παναγιώτα Καραγκούνη και Παναγιώτα Γκιουζέλη στις θέσεις των Ιζαμπελ Ιβάνονα και Παναγιώτας Ρόγκα.

Οι 12 αθλήτριες που θα ταξιδέψουν στην ισπανική πρωτεύουσα είναι οι:

Κερατέας) Ευγενία Τσίμα (Α.Ο. Μαρκόπουλο), Ευαγγελία Χαντάβα (Ολυμπιακός), Στυλιανή Χριστοδούλου (Πανελλήνιος), Παναγιώτα Γκιουζέλη (ΑΕΚ)

Το πρωί της Παρασκευής (07.45) αναχωρεί για την Αγκυρα, μέσω Κωνσταντινούπολης, η Εθνική ομάδα των Ανδρών, όπου θα αντιμετωπίσει την Τουρκία στο πλαίσιο του Β’ ομίλου του Ευρωπαϊκού Λιγκ. Οι 12 παίκτες που επέλεξε ο ομοσπονδιακός τεχνικός Γκόρντον Μέιφορθ είναι οι εξής:

«Δεν έχουμε λάβει τίποτα εγγράφως από την Επιτροπή. Θα υπάρξει απάντηση όταν έχουμε κάτι επίσημο. Μέχρι τώρα, όλα θεωρούνται φήμες. Εμείς συνεχίζουμε κανονικά».

New clash between Serbian coaches in Pool A

Last year, for the very first edition of the CEV European League, Serbia and Bulgaria played in the same preliminary Pool before advancing to the final four. Serbia won three out of four matches: one in Gabrovo (Bulgaria) and the other two at home in Obrenovac. Serbia then continued its march to clip the title at the final four staged in Kayseri (Turkey) whereas Bulgaria finished third there, after defeating France in the consolation final.
After four matches in this year’s CEV European League, Serbia and Bulgaria are tied on the top of the standings, both with four victories and without having dropped a single set. However, the Bulgarian team is currently topping the charts thanks to a better point ratio. The double-header scheduled for this weekend and starring these teams will also feature another clash between two Serbian coaches, namely Zoran Terzic and Dragan Nesic.
“These matches with Bulgaria will be completely different from the ones we had in the previous weekends. Although we play at home, we are not the favourites and I would say that we have 50:50 chances to win. Of course, if we play hard and we are motivated, and if we fulfil everything we practiced in our training sessions, then I think our chances are slightly higher than those of the Bulgarians. But, we have to wait and see. I know that we will be supported by our incredible fans, and we will do our best not to disappoint them” comments local mentor Zoran Terzic.
Serbia and Bulgaria played also four matches so far at the European Championships. The Serbian team won only once, namely in the final round of the 2007 competition jointly organized in Belgium and Luxembourg.

Pools still tight as FIVB World League moves into fourth weekend

Pool D sees a top-of-the-table battle between Cuba and Germany as the Netherlands look to add to their sole victory over Brazil as the fourth weekend of the 2010 FIVB Intercontinental Round begins on Friday.
Cuba currently sit on top of Pool D, succumbing to only one defeat at the hands of Poland last week in Havana. The side now embarks on a tough fourth week journey as they are yet to play an away match in this year’s contest. Meanwhile, Germany will be looking to use home advantage in Trier to overcome the visitors. The side, who returned to the FIVB World League this year, lost to Cuba 3-0 and 3-1 two weeks ago and will be looking for revenge.
Elsewhere in Pool D, FIVB World League Final Round hosts Argentina travel to Poland as the Europeans prepare for their first home game of their campaign, determined to get it back on track after a lackluster opening three weeks.
Pool A leaders Brazil will be hoping to avoid another slip-up against the Netherlands as the two sides face off in Rotterdam. The defending champions were humbled by the world No.28 3-0 in Brasilia two weeks ago and despite winning the second match 3-0, the South Americans will be weary of their European counterparts.
Pool A’s other match sees second-placed Bulgaria take on fourth-placed Korea in their first home game of the competition. Korea failed to pick up a victory in all six of their home matches and sit at the bottom of the group with zero point. Meanwhile Bulgaria are just one point behind Brazil with 13 and will be confident they can catch the leaders as they settle down to three weekends at home.
Pool B is beginning to shape up to be a tight group with both Serbia and Italy with five wins and one loss, with the Serbians topping the group by a point with 15. Italy travel to France after being pushed close by them on the opening weekend, coming away with a 3-0 and 3-2 win. Meanwhile last year’s runners-up Serbia travel to bottom side China with the hosts desperate to pick up their first home win of this year’s competition.
Russia will be within a whisker of qualification for the Final Round in Cordoba, Argentina if they overcome Egypt in Cairo in Pool C. The European side is five points ahead of second-placed USA, who are on 12, but will be aware of the African champions on home soil following a breath-taking weekend between the two sides a fortnight ago which saw Russia narrowly clinch 3-1 and 3-2 victories in Kasliningrad.
Meanwhile, USA host their first match of the competition as they take on Finland in Illinois. The home side recorded two 3-1 wins over the Scandinavians and will be desperate to catch Russia after their rivals have built up such a dominant lead.

Defending champs to face the Netherlands

The Netherlands will be looking to add to their shock defeat over Brazil as they host the South American side in the fourth 2010 FIVB World League Intercontinental Round this weekend in Rotterdam.

After three World League weekends, six of the 12 pool matches have been played. The Netherlands can look back with some satisfaction following two straight-set victories in Korea, and an impressive straight sets win in Brasilia, shocking the defending champions. However two losses against Bulgaria last weekend saw the Dutch drop to third in Pool A.
The Netherlands will be looking for another victory over the world No.1 and Peter Blangé’s team will feel at home in Rotterdam. His side’s disappointment after the two losses against Bulgaria last weekend has been replaced by determination.
“We want to give our fans a wonderful present”, opposite player Niels Klapwijk stated. “We know we are capable of beating Brazil. So why wouldn’t that happen again? We will do everything we possibly can to make this happen in Rotterdam.”
The matches will take place at 5pm local time on Saturday and 3pm local time on Sunday.aq
